Languedoc, a land of wines in full transformation
For several years, Languedoc has been experiencing a real wine revival, driven by committed winegrowers who favor practices that respect nature. At Aubert & Mathieu , we have always been committed to developing wines that combine modernity and authenticity, by highlighting emblematic grape varieties and exceptional terroirs. Convinced that the future of wine depends on a sustainable and responsible approach, we are fully committed to this dynamic by offering organic vintages that reveal all the richness of Languedoc.
With a sunny Mediterranean climate, winds that promote natural ventilation of the vines and an exceptional diversity of soils, Languedoc offers an ideal playground for producing organic wines. These conditions make it possible to limit treatments and promote natural methods, making conversion to organic more accessible than in other, more humid regions.
Why choose an organic wine from Languedoc?
Organic wines are attracting a growing number of consumers looking for authenticity and respect for the environment. But choosing an organic wine from Languedoc also means opting for:
- A pure expression of the terroir : By banning pesticides and promoting living soils, organic winegrowers offer wines as close as possible to nature, with frank and intense aromas.
- Respect for the environment : Organic farming preserves soils and biodiversity, promoting a healthier ecosystem.
- Incredible richness and diversity : From Pic Saint-Loup to Corbières via Minervois, each terroir offers unique profiles, ranging from gourmet reds to sparkling whites.
Gigi , the new brilliance of Languedoc!
we decided to give a completely new face to the Albarino, emblematic white grape variety of Galicia by sublimating it with the sun and the terroir of Languedoc. Result? Gigi , an organic, fresh and elegant wine, perfect for the curious in search of new experiences.
Gigi is a wine with captivating aromas of white peach, candied lemon and orange blossom. On the palate, its fresh and saline attack is carried by a beautiful acidity that highlights its silky and mineral texture. Its elegant and persistent finish blossoms on citrus notes and a touch of iodine, offering a real invitation to travel.
So shall we try the experiment?
